Can't Start a Thread?
If you're wondering why you can't start a thread yet, please read the second post in this thread (down below). Eventually you'll become an Established Member, and this information will apply to you.

Signatures and Logos
If you're wondering how to get logos like to appear below your posts (like many of us have for our "What's in the Bag"), look at editing your signature. The logos themselves can be seen in the smileys list. Please note that "Newbie" members can't use signatures until they become a "Registered User."

Reputation
Finally, a brief tutorial on the reputation system.

Everyone starts with 10 reputation points. You can earn more by remaining a member, reaching post levels (i.e. 500 posts, 1000 posts, etc.), and a few other ways, including getting positive reputation comments from others.

Your reputation power is different but related to your reputation points. Reputation power is how much power your reputation comments - positive or negative - affect the reputation totals (points) of others.

To give a positive or negative reputation comment, click the button.

Reporting Posts
To report a post as offensive, off-topic, or otherwise inappropriate, please click the button. A moderator will act on the email promptly.

The Site
Please do not forget that this forum is not all this site offers. If you ask in the forum for a review of a set of clubs, please check the main site first to see if we've done one of our comprehensive reviews. Search the main site - and google or another search engine - for answers to questions (and indicate that you've done so) before asking in the forum.

Newbie Members
Because a lot of spam bots are set up to join a forum and start posting new threads, we've created a "Newbie" class of membership to which all new members are assigned. "Newbie" members cannot create threads, cannot have a signature, and are restricted in a few other ways.

Fortunately, escaping from "Newbie" status is easy. You must simply post three times (or wait five days). Want three threads to post in? Here are some good ones:

Tell us what you do for a living, weigh in on Tiger vs. Jack, or tell us about your best shot of the week or what you shot the last time you played.

Please be patient. The script that changes you from a Newbie to a fully Registered User runs every hour, so if you're unlucky, you might have to wait up to 60 minutes.

At that point, you'll want to set up your signature and a few other options in your user control panel.
